SafeSeal microcentrifuge tubes from Sorenson Bioscience with a positive-locking snap-cap that eliminates accidental opening during centrifugation, vortexing, and boiling. Rated for 24,000 × g — substantially higher than standard microcentrifuge tubes — these are built for high-speed protocols including DNA precipitation, protein pelleting, and subcellular fractionation.
Available in 0.65mL, 1.7mL, and 2.0mL sizes. Virgin polypropylene construction is compatible with a -80°C to +121°C temperature range and is autoclavable for sterile applications. The SafeSeal mechanism provides audible and tactile confirmation of closure, reducing the risk of sample loss during high-speed spins and thermal shock protocols.
